What does fostering a dog involve?

 

As a foster, you will take a homeless dog into your home and give him love, care, and attention. SLSDP is a foster-based rescue; all of our dogs live in foster homes while awaiting adoption. Fostering is a very rewarding experience and has a huge impact on the animal. We expect our foster to:

 

• give the dog the time he needs to be ready for adoption; and

• socialize the dog in a home environment and possibly get him used to being around other pets and different types of people.
