OUR MISSION

The St. Louis Senior Dog Project is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization in the state of Missouri. We are an all-volunteer organization that rescues dogs of all ages but especially dogs 5 years of age and older.

We actively promote the adoption of older dogs. We spay/neuter all dogs, bring them up to date with shots, worming, microchipping, and heartworm prevention. We provide our dogs with all necessary veterinary care, including treatment for such things as heartworm disease, kennel cough, pneumonia, intestinal parasites, urinary tract infections, fleas and ticks, and dental care.

A Tribute to Our Izzy

On December 29, 2021, our sweetest Izzy went missing in the St. Louis city area from her foster home.

We are 100 percent sure someone picked her up right away and has kept her.

St. Louis Senior Dog Project did all we could to get her back, including purchasing a billboard and offering a large reward. Nothing.

We think about Izzy every day and hope she is being treated well and is being loved by someone. We won’t ever stop hoping for that call that she is safe.

This situation has caused us to work even harder to make sure our dogs stay safe.

We have these dogs' futures in our hands and we take appropriate measures to make sure they stay safe forever.
